Nothing worked so I went back 2 days later and they gave me different meds and 2 more shots!. That did not work!. Now, I have a stiff neck, headache, and my ears are stuffy! I went to the chiropractor and he aligned my body and pop'ed my neck but it still hurts!. Any ideas on whats going on!? Answers:
Do you have a fever!? Did they check you for meningitis when you were in the ER!?

I would go back to the ER again!. Don't let them discharge you without a thurough exam and if they determine that it is just a migraine!. Please talk to them about a course of steroids!. Don't let them just give you shots of morphine as if you are a drug seeker!. Be pushy, ask to be seen by a neurologist!.

ADDENDUM: The problem with migraines, because the pain is subjective, is that doctors in the ER will often classify people as drug seekers when they are not!. The fact that they are giving you Loritabs to me seems to indicate that they have classified you as such!. Loritabs are a narcotic and are not now given to migraine sufferers as standard medication!. For migraine you would typically have a anti-inflammatory (such as aleve) followed by Imitrex or a similar drug!.

ER treatment for migraines are typically as follows:
IV fluids
IV Anti-inflammatory (such as Toradal)
IV Reglan or Compazine for nausea
IV Morphine
IV Steroids
Discharge with 5+ day steroid prescription!.

If they are just sending you home with the Lortabs, I would seriously question why!. I would go back and refuse the narcotic, they are not doing you any good and may in fact be causing rebound headache!. You need to insist that a neurologist evaluate you while you are there!. They should have one on call!.

With your ears being stuffy, you may have a sinus problem that is triggering the migraine so don't forget to mention that when you go back!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds to me like you need to get a different Dr!. Are you living alone!? You shouldn't be staying alone!. And you shouldn't be driving while you are going thru this!. Have you had blood work done for this problem!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
