Question: I find yogurt causes gas and indigestion, it doesn't ease it!. How can this be!?
Answers:
I get the same thing, and just looked all over the web for an answer!. All I found were endless advice columns to eat yogurt to PREVENT gas and such!.

Never been lactose intolerant that I know of - I can eat pizza, nachos, sliced cheese & crackers, drink milk, etc!. It only seems to happen when I eat Cedar's Greek Strained Yogurt Tzatziki Dips!. And I love the stuff - I even prefer it on sandwiches, and just that amount (spread on bread or a tortilla) is enough to make me 'repeat' for hours!. If you find an answer, email me!!! I'm going to call up my doctor next week and inquire!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it is a cup of stirred yogurt then you might be lactose sensitive/lactose intolerant!. I'm fairly lactose intolerant, and I can't eat stirred yogurt because it causes me the same grief you get (potentially worse)!. The non-stirred yogurt that comes in a more solid form seems to be better for me, but it depends on the brand!. Look at the label of other foods that give you the same problem, and if they contain "modified milk ingredients," sometimes this is a sign of whey being added!. Whey is a major source of lactose and it is in a lot of things!. If you notice a connection between foods that contain lactose and your indigestion, then it's probably a safe bet to assume you're lactose intolerant!.

On a side note, you can buy lactase enzyme tablets (common brand name is "lactaid") that you take just as you are eating the lactose containing food!. This pill only lasts for the meal you are going to eat, but it will let you enjoy milk containing products once again (without discomfort this time)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

maybe your'e lactose intolerant, or maybe the cultures found in yogurt upset your stomachWww@Answer-Health@Com

I have no advice other than - there is more room on the outside than the inside!. Let er rip stinky!Www@Answer-Health@Com
