Could be a canker sore, common and painful!. Gargle and swish salt water in your mouth its a natural antibiotic and gentle pain reliever for the mouth!. You would use it to clean out your mouth from oral surgery so you know it works!.
Warm water, not hot or cold, 8oz with about a tablespoon of salt, don't swallow it!. Concentrate on gentle swishing of the painful area!.
If it stays for more than 7 days, have it checked!.

A remedy that myself, my grandmother, father, and cousins use is simple!. Take some plain old baking soda and mix it with just enough water to make a fairly thick paste!. use a q-tip (not your finger because that can further contaminate it) and spread it on!. You may need to leave your mouth open for a few minutes to let it stay put and dry a little!. The starch in the baking soda will pull out some of the sting and take the swelling down!. hope this helps :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
