How to heal an anal fissure? ?!

Question: How to heal an anal fissure!? !?
Background information: I am a 25 year old mother of 2!. Married!. I am healthy!. (No STD's, no high blood pressure, no diabetes, nothing serious that I know of) The only thing I do suffer from is Panic Disorder, and I am over weight!. Non Smoker!.

Complaint: For the past 2 weeks I have been suffering from what I believe to be Anal Fissures!. After every bowel movement there is bright red blood in the toilet water and also on the toilet paper!. It does burn and hurt!. I had my husband have a look and even take picture of it with the camera so I could see for myself!. You can see what looks like a 1/2 to 1 inch cut 1-2 inches inside the anal cavity!. From what I have found, these are called Anal Fissures!.

I am too embarrassed to go to the doctor for them as of yet!. So I ask you; Is there any at home remedy that will cure this!? It seems to break loose and bleed after every bowel movement!. I have been applying triple antibiotic ointment along with Vaseline to it 3x per day!.

Also can this get infected by the BM that passes by the open wound!? How will I know if this anal fissure needs surgery!? Is this something I may need oral antibiotics for!? Thank you for any, and all input!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I sometimes bleed when I open my bowels but I think it's because of haemorrhoids (piles) and I used germoloids cream which is a local anaesthetic that really worked to get rid of the pain and itching feeling!. I would recommend you using this, you can just buy it over the counter at your local chemist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just go to the doctor!. There is no reason to be embarrassed by the doctor who has to keep all the records private but yet here the whole world can see!.

It is possible for it to get infected there as its an open wound and probably not the easiest place to keep clean!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR, you need not feel embarrassed for something that is not too abnormal, many ladies have had this problem!. The Doctor is there to assist you!.

You will not get over the problem without a Doctors help and anytime you have bleeding, it is time to see the Doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well being embarrassed to see a doctor is well dumb!. I am sorry but if you have anal fissures and not just hemorrhoids then you need to see a gastroenterologist!. (unless you can find a proctologist, but its pretty hard to find a "butt" doctor)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes dear, You need to go to your doctor!. I had one and had surgery on it!. You can start with you Gynecologist!. It will not get better and it can cause infection!. Don't be embarrass!. I am sure they have seen lot worse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
