Normally the ice is only for the first 24 hours after an injury or surgery!. You should now be trying to use it with gentle stretching, light massage, squeezing a soft ball, and light use!. You can ice it again for an hour (10 mins on, 10 mins off) after your light exercises but after that hour is up heat is more likely to help at this point!. You should be taking some Ibuprofen for the pain and swelling also!. The only time you should use ice now, after the hour from exercises, would be if it swells up again!. Don't worry, it will heal, sprains are normally more painful and take longer to heal than breaks do!. Hope you feel better soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well if it isn't swollen, it depends!. If you can move it just fine, then no you shouldn't need to ice it!. Only if it starts to hurt!. But if it still has a great deal of pain, then yes you do still need to ice it!. I also sprained my wrist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sometimes sprains take a while to heal!. Ice could help a little bit if you want some of the pain to go away!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Really the ice only helps when it is swollen to take the swelling down!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no more ice
start some gentle rehab through stretches and self-massageWww@Answer-Health@Com
