Can't sleep! Please help!?!


Question: Can't sleep! Please help!!?
So as soon as i lay down in bed, even if ism exhausted i can't fall asleep!. It seems like i have tried EVERYTHING from pills (not good i know) to oils , teas and CD's!.!.!.!.etc Do you are anyone know has or has had this problem!? If so what did you do to fix it!? ANY advice would be greatly appreciated!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I suffer from this exact same problem!.

All the CD's and medicine in the world is not going to cure it permanently!.
My guess is that once you lay down, you start thinking about many things, what you have to do tomorrow, how you can improve this, that and the other, where is this person now, and zillions more questions!. Or perhaps you lie there fantasizing about something you wish was different!.

I know it might seem hard, but you've really got to just tell yourself that now is the time to sleep, you can devote time to thinking things through tomorrow, because there's nothing you can do about it now!.
Occasionally I do actually play music, such as soft jazz, ambient music with no beats, or whatever makes me feel relaxed!. Play it at very low volume and preferably with a timer that will turn off the player within the hour, so it doesn't wake you up once you sleep!.

Make sure also that you're not eating at least three hours before you sleep - this includes hot drinks!. You might need to change your diet, do some exercise or force yourself into a routine where your body cycle can adjust accordingly!. Read 'Fit for Life' by Harvey & Marilyn Diamond for more info on body clocks, cycles etc!.

You should probably see someone!.!.!.You said you've tried everything, so it sounds like its time for some pysch intervention!.!.!.Maybe you have underlying problems that keep you up at night, and subconciously you just don't realise them!.!.!.Apart from seeking medical support, I'd suggest having a relaxing bath, reading, writing down your issues earlier on in the day and trying to sort them out before sleep time, and reading!. You might like to try meditation!. I know this doesn't work for everyone but often helps me when I'm having difficulty sleeping!. There are many different ways to do this and various sites that give instructions!. I do it by laying down on my back and concentrating on my breathing to clear my mind!. After a couple of minutes of this begin to concentrate on your feet, feeling them relax, the tension slowly leaving them, continue this way up through your legs and the rest of your body until you are fully relaxed and calm!. You should find a doctor that will send you to a sleep clinic!. That way they can at least try to pinpoint what is causing the problem!. It may not do any good but it is worth a shot to rule out any physical problems and figure out what type of sleeping disorder you might have!. It is a strange experience but I think helpful!.
