I injured my knee. Not sure what it is? How much are X-rays and MRI's?!

Question: I injured my knee!. Not sure what it is!? How much are X-rays and MRI's!?
I injured my knee about 8 months ago!. I have pain that comes and goes!. It usually hurts along the outside of my knee!. I can hear and feel my knee popping and grinding when bending it or walking!. I feel that it may give out on me when I run/jog or jump!. When I first injured it, swelling didn't start until 4 or 5 hours later!. At first I could walk, but later I couldn't bear any weight on it and could not bend my knee!. Walking was limited!. Since then it has given out on me about 4 times and it would buckle whenever I jump, run, or twist (and jump fences)!. I've finally learned my lesson and haven't done anything to aggravate my knee, but I can feel a tingling sensation still!. I know I should see a doctor but I do not have any insurance and I am not sure I can afford an MRI or X-rays right now!. How much do they usually cost and do you know any sites that can help!? ThanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
The cost of an MRI study can range from $400 to more than $2,000, with a typical cost being about $800!. Most health insurance, including Medicare, covers MRI testing!.

MRI stands for Magnetic Resonance Imaging!. An MRI offers a safe and efficient method of diagnosing many conditions, without the use of harmful x-rays!. In many cases, MRI can lead to early detection and treatment of disease without surgery or biopsy!. It is a non-invasive method of examining the soft tissue of the body including organs, muscles and tendons and requires little patient preparation!. If you have any more questions about MRI, ask your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Stop messing around and listen to your knee! You have done serious damage already!.

Contact a local sports medicine clinic and talk to the business office about how you can pay for competent care!.

You are going to end up permanently crippled if you continue to ignore your knee's calls for help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

both are very expensive!.!.!.especially MRIs!.!.!.!.xrays only show bone damage, an MRI shows tissue damage, like if you messed up your ligaments and such!.!.!.only thing i can recommend is if you have a credit card, or talk to your doctor to see if you can work out a payment plan!.!.!.in so many of us in this "great" country without insurance (myself included) we have to get creative!.!.!.also!.!.go online in your community and look for health clinics!.!.they often offere services on a sliding scale!.!.!.!.which might help you out!.!.good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
