Can hospitals deny someone without insurance?!


Question: Can hospitals deny someone without insurance!?
I know of someone that died recently at a hospital waiting area who was denied help because he did not have insurance!. He was 17!. Can hospitals deny someone who really in a urgent situation between life and death because of no insurance!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, they are not supposed to!. Life threatening situations must be treated, regardless of ability to pay or the presence of insurance!. But, there are many hospitals that will not treat, and simply say they didn't realize the seriousness of the person's condition!. Of course when someone dies in their lobby, they are wide open to suit!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it sadly happens, I've seen two stories recently on the news about people dieing in ER waiting rooms!. They are not supposed to refuse health care in emergency situations!. They can be sued for wrongful death!.
