Answers:
get decongestent and put it up your nose (get sinex) and get some earplanes/earplugs!. The pain you were feeling was coming from the air pressure on the plane!. If you wear earplanes it will help you!. put them in before you go into the air and then you can take them off when you have reached the maximum height on your airplane!. The put them in again before you land and leave them in until the airplane doors have openedWww@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know if this will help!.I'll keep it short as possible!.Had a pain just like that, electrocuted is a very good desciption!.I was having a meal at the time and dropped knife and fork when it happened and then remained very still for a long time after, trying to comprehend what had happened!.You know wondering if you're still alive, still got all your faculties etc!.Anyway after trip to doc who sent me to the dentist who said I had an abcess and took 2 teeth out! That didn't help as have had pain again since then!.I have thought about it ever since!.I am convinced it is a result of grinding teeth!.The grinding doesn't cause the pain but seems to get to the nerves somehow!.If it happens to me again I will get a gum shield (I think that's what it is)gum guard or whatever to stop the grinding!.You know each time I had the pains I was stressed,so it seems to make sense!.Worst pain I ever had!
Really hope this will help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should check it with a doctor, it might be of neurological nature!.

More probably -and hopefully- it is a strong migraine!. Avoid coffee, tea and other stimulants during flights and stay very well hydrated it helps a lot!. When I fly I usually buy a large bottle of water and finish it during the flight!. Also keeping your facial muscles active -by chewing gum- can be helpful!. Make sure your electrolytes -potassium etc!.- are in balance too, eating fruits and vegetables during flights is much healthier than eating the fatty food airlines give you!.

I also found the following article that might be of interest to you, it discusses headaches and neuralgia!.

I usually get excruciating pains in my ears when flying!. Not when taking off or when we're up there but mostly when we're landing!. It's definitely the air pressure on the aeroplane!. It happens worse on short haul flights where the plane tends to be smaller!.

Best to do as some of the other guys here suggest, use ear plugs, chew gum or suck a hard boiled sweet, and most importantly use a decongestant!. You should if it is anything to do with sinus's help!. If it isn't it could have just been a one off thing!.

Try not to worry too much!.!. try and relax and enjoy flying!. The more anxious you are the more you can convince yourself that it will happen again and it may not!.

All the best!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had this happen to me once, and I had heard other people talk about it happening to them as well and one person mentioned chewing gum while you are on a long flight, so I popped in a piece and in about ten minutes it started to go away, and my ears also popped, to say the least it was a huge relief!.
