Why isn't it being called socialized medicine, like it is called in Canada and other European countries!? And who wants to wait 6 months for an appointment!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Called by whom!? I'll call it socialized medicine because that's what it is, and moreover, I'm 100% in favor of socialized medicine (by the way, I live in the US, and I suppose you do, too, and I suppose your question is primarily addressed to the US context)!. Yes, sometimes one hears of people having to wait too long under the systems of some countries!. But if you study six or eight countries that have socialized medicine and take into account all the benefits and drawbacks of the various approaches, including that in the US, you are likely to find plenty of reason for fundamental change in the US!. In cases where people have to wait, it may be simply that some of the management factors in the system need to be tweaked a little bit!. Bottom line, no one should go without basic medical care!. The system should be designed to arrange that with the best possible efficiency!. The US currently falls behind most other rich counties in this regard!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
