Question: Is it safe to mix opiates with caffeine!?
I take prescription opiates for pain (Vicodin and Oxycontin) but they make me kind of sleepy, so I drink tea or caffeine to stay alert!. Is this safe!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, unless you have some underlying health problems it's safe!. However, if you're a regular user of this medication and happen to ever be without it somehow so that you become sick from withdrawal it's best to avoid caffeine!. It will exacerbate many withdrawal symptoms!. Probably not enough to seriously hurt you but it will increase an already elevated blood pressure, induce diarrhea, elevate anxiety, increase discomfort, & so forth!.
Moderate caffeine use along with prescribed opiate medications should be fine & is probably quite common!.

just ask your doctor!.!.!. im pretty sure it would be fine, i'm sure thousands of people take those drugs and drink coffee without thinking before handWww@Answer-Health@Com
