Several broken ribs? can it heal on it's own, or is a hospital visit Absolut!

Question: Several broken ribs!? can it heal on it's own, or is a hospital visit Absolutely necessary!?
my friend, and I got into a fight the other night, after he punched my girlfriend(by accident, it turns out)!. well, anyway, during the fight, i front-kicked him square in the left side of his rib cage and he is almost certain he i broke ribs!. out of shame or pride or whatever he flat refuses to go to a hospital, he can only walk very slowly, heavy breathing brings a sharp pain, and he can't sleep on his left or back!.!.!. do i need to press him any further or will he recover on his own!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I'm pretty sure it depends on the break!. However, the rib cage is what keeps you lungs safe, have a damaged rib cage could cause some serious problems!. please, tell him to get over his pride and see a doctorWww@Answer-Health@Com

If your having trouble breathing it may be a good idea to see a doctor!. Other than that when i broke three of my ribs they told me they can't do anything but give me pain pills and it will take 4 to 6 weeks to heal!. So if you want some good vicodin to knock you out during those painful moments!. a doctor is recommended!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i would definitely press him further, the ribs will heal eventually but they may heal incorrectly, or maybe one of the sharp bone points could puncture something!. Neither would be very good!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if a rib is broken or cracked, that could puncher a lung!.
he should have been at the dr!. that night!!!!!!!!!
he will recover on own,
but will take longer!!!!!!!!!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

DUDE go see a doctor right a way!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
