Answers:
It seems like a blood circulation problem to the legs
don't wear shoes with tight laces---wear loafers or moccasins
don't carry a thick wallet in your hip(back) pocket
don't carry a mobile phone in your trouser pockets
apply a hot water bottle at night where it really hurts!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

at minimum you have a quad strain!. my son just hurt his too!. rest, ice, compression shorts, if it is hurting bad enough that it is waking you at night you may need to see a doctor for a possible tear!. do you remember injuring it!?

Edit: this kind of injury happens alot to athletes who do alot of running, according to internet things i've read!. usually because running strengthens the hamstring more than the quad and the rectus femoris would be the part that has less strength!. it causes muscle imbalance and therefore is at risk of a strain or tear!.

since you don't remember hurting it you probably just over used it!. now that is has been several days, try heat (like those disposable back heat wraps), and take a couple days off from running, especially the kind in soccer when you have a sudden sprint!. and take advil every 6 hours or 1 aleve 2 times a day to help with pain and inflammation!. heat and aleve have really helped my sons quad and he should be back in his soccer game this weekend!. if you google quad strains you will find repeated instruction to rest it awhile!. if it doesn't start feeling better you need to see your doctor!. they might send you to do some PT!.

good luck and feel betterWww@Answer-Health@Com
