What's the best way to heal a deep cut and prevent infection?!

Question: What's the best way to heal a deep cut and prevent infection!?
Yesterday I was slicing potatoes on my kitchen slicer!. I wasn't using the part that attaches to the potato so I don't slice my hand or fingers!. I was slicing an onion and I felt my thumb go straight through the slicer like I was hit by lightning!. It hurt so bad and I had my husband rush in, cut off the sliced skin, pour hydrogen peroxide on it, put on antibacterial ointment, and bandage my thumb!. Every time it gets wet (i try really hard not to!) it hurts like hell! Is there a way to get this to heal faster!? I can see a reddish pink where the skin came off, so I'm pretty sure I sliced through all of the layers of my skin!. It stopped bleeding yesterday and occasionally bleeds if I get it wet or use my thumb too much!.

Just put the peroxide on it once a day and then use neosporin w/ the pain relief in it and use a band-aid!. Take off the band-aid at night so it can dry out or put a little neosporin on before you go to sleep if its too painful without it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

First off, OUCH!

Secondly, the only thing I can recommend is using a glove to prevent the wound from being touched too much!. Use a really good bandaid to cover it if the glove doesn't work!. I hope it feels better and be careful next time you cut!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi,If you can find some guava leaves and boil them and rinse your cut a couple of times a day,it will heal very quickly!.Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
