Question: Is it safe to go from 4mg to just 1mg on SUBOXONE!?
I am on suboxone!. I am trying my hardest to get off of this medication!. I am currently on 4mg daily!. I want to wean off as low as possible!.!.!.!.can I go from 4mg to 1mg!?!? How long will it take for my body to adjust without feeling discomfort!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

HELL NO! Buck Rodgers is the man to answer this, and you refused his help or advise!. AND I am sending this question to HARMD (Helping America Reduce Methadone Deaths) that thinks this is such a miracle drug!. Must go very slow!

You have to evaluate that person's dosage and duration!. You base the whole taper schedule on that!. The agonist cap of sublingual doses is 4mg!. When you reach 4mg, you have to reduce to 2mg over a period of time!. This depends on how long you were using the drug!. Without knowing that, I cannot say!.
When you drop to 2mg, you have to reduce it even slower!. Without knowing again, how long you were on Suboxone for, I cannot say how slow or how long the taper will be!. She should read the message I sent her!. You can't simply post questions like this if you are not going to add in more information like (duration of use; dosage; how many times you take it per day etc) because generic tapering schedules DO NOT WORK!

you will suffer badly if you do that!. taper it very slowly!. otherwise you are in for lots of fatigue and depression!. suboxone withdrawal can approach the intensity of a moderate heroin withdrawal, especially if you have used it for a long time!. the intensity is less but the duration is very very long!. heroin is over in 7 days!. suboxone takes much longer so it is spread out!.

safe, yes!.!.!.!.comfortable!.!.!.very much NOT so!. A more suitable taper would be 4 to 3 to 2 to 1!.5 to 1 to 0!.5 minimum before jumping!.!.!.with a week or two between each decrease!.
