Question: I think i have a 3rd degree burn!?
ok yesterday i was getting ready for work and burned my arm on a 450 degree curling iron!. now 24 hours later it doesn't hurt, looks leathery and is a dark brown/grey!. it's not very big, about the length of a quarter and probably width of a pencil!. i'm not going to the ER so please don't suggest it!. can i see my dermatologist instead!? what do they normally do to treat burns!? i burned myself on the side of my face sort of ( i know i need to just throw this thing away ha) and it got like this burn but it was a lot smaller and later just peeled off and it's fine!. thanks for any input!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sure, seeing your Dermatologist could never be wrong but if you keep it clean and treat it with antibiotic cream, it should get well pretty fast!. If not, your doctor can Always help!.

Keep it clean gauzz pads bandaid etc!.!. with antibiotic!. If you want you could flush it daily!. Just watch cuz burns are the easeast infected!. So be shure to keep it clean and protected!. If it becomes infected i would recomend seing a docter atleast but that is your decision!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
