Answers:
The acid which is in your stomach is stronger than battery acid!. so that is burning your throat!. plus, the abnormal travel of food and fluids upward combines to make a very uncomfortable and painful timeWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well, for one, the stomach acid that you're regurgitating is burning your esophagus, which is why Bulimics often develop disorders that are associated with a corroded esophagus!.

As well, however, the mind associates vomiting with poison!. When you throw up, if we can revert to a "fight or flight" type of instinctual thinking, your body is literally associating whatever is in your stomach with being poison!. This relates to a negative association with whatever you've eaten, which is why often a person will find themselves unable to ingest something they may have gotten sick off of as a child (for instance, mushrooms still make me a little queasy after getting sick off of them as a kid, and it took me two years to train myself to be able to ingest alcohol again after a night of binge drinking went to far!.) As well, as a treatment for alcoholism, or other food/drink based psychological ailments, a psychologist may initiate a rather drastic treatment, where they will lace the object that a patient is trying to distance themselves from, with something that will induce vomiting!. This is also a technique I tried (but did not succeed with) for quitting smoking (though it did succeed in making me quit smoking the particular brand I attempted the experiment with!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be whatever caused you to vomit in the first place (e!.g!., alcohol, poison, etc!.)

However, since the vomit is from your stomach, it's probably the stomach acid burning the back of your throat that's causing the unpleasant sensation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It hurts your throat because the digestive acid that is in your stomach burns the inside of your throat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the involuntary contraction that rip through your gut and travel upwards like the water ripplin on a stormy night is what hurts in my book!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
