There is a shooting pain in my ball/socket only when I stretch my arm. Why?!

Question: There is a shooting pain in my ball/socket only when I stretch my arm!. Why!?
For the past few weeks, I can't reach for anything - even if it is just a few inches to stretch - like the door of the car, or my phone or stapler on my large office desk, or the cereal boxes on top of my fridge!. I can't cross my arms to pull my tshirt off - very painful!.!. just the right arm!. I will go to a doctor but just wanted to know if this is something that will pass - perhaps someone at answers has had it before!.

I went for a breast ultrasound a few weeks ago and the doctor made me lie down with my arms behind my head for 45 mins!. I was trying all the while to look at the screen of the ultrasound machine behind my head!. After that session, the pain in my shoulder ball/socket joint began!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

my boyfriend has a similar problem, where a nerve is getting pinched in his shoulder!. He's gone to the chiropractor and they know how to work the nerve out!. He also has rotator cup problems!. He also has numbing/tingling sensations throughout his arm!. His arm is fine just hanging but when he lifts his elbow above his shoulder or exteds his arm forward or backward more then halfway that is when it hurts!. He has been reccomended for surgery on this!. I reccomend definately going to the doctor because at an early stage if it is a serious problem it may be better treated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it might be a pinched nerual or connective tissue, you have synovial tissue between your bones!. you could have also pulled a muscle, just go to the doctors its probably curable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
