How can i get a better sleep?!


Question: How can i get a better sleep!?
I wake up sometimes in the night so that takes 10 more minuites to fall back asleep i wake up 2 times min!. I always wake up tired and sometimes i fall asleep while i'm putting my clothes on!.

I am 12, is there any safe drug i could use!? It effects my running abbilities to!

Bananas and milk have chemicals in which aid sleep, aswell as Coco and Horlicks!. This sounds more stress related though, probably best to talk to your parents about anything that may be stressing you out!. Although at your age, your body changing may also be having an affect, again, talk to someone you trust, a parent or teacher!.

There are various breathing/meditation excersizes you can do pre-sleep do aid your rest, i'm sure you could find something about them on the internet somewhere!.

If none of this helps, definatley see a doctor!.

Don't try any drugs at first!. Try going to Bath and Body Works and buy the lavender vanilla scented pillow spray!. That always puts me to sleep right away!. Then if you wake up in the middle of the night just spray more on your pillow!. If that doesn't work, try wearing a sleep mask!. One of those silly eye masks that you can buy at Claire's with fun little sayings on them!. That might help!. Also, you say you are a runner!? Try running about an hour before you go to bed!. That way you have time to let your adrenaline cool down and your muscles will want to relax!. If that doesn't work, try going to bed earlier!. Try going to bed around 9!. Just turn off your lights and get a fan to drown out noise!. Keep yourself tucked in really tight so you feel like you are getting swaddled like when you were a baby!. Also, make sure you aren't hungry when you go to bed!. It could be a reason why you are waking up!. Your body might be saying you are hungry!. If you think it's just your thoughts that are waking you up, try writing in a diary!. Get your mind cleared before you try to go to sleep!. Try all of those things! If none of that works, get some tylenol PM!. Something light and non-addictive like that could help you!. Just try not to use it every night!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

For starters you are not getting enough sleep for someone your age!. 9 hours is what you should be getting!. Taking sleeping aids of any type at your age is not a good idea!. If you really have a sleep problem, you need to go to a sleeping disorder clinic and be tested as to why you can't sleep!.
Sorry I'm not giving you the answer you want to hear, but I do have a sleep disorder, I found good medical advice and sleep great for the first time in 40 years!.

it's normal to have interrupted sleep at your age,esp if you have high expectations put on you by self or others!.As you are athletic,i'd advise the avoidance of dextromethophan hydrobromide,or any sedative anti histimine,you will get secondary sedation,possible mood trouble and reduced lung function,and feel crap in the day

Try relaxing your body and mind before you sleep!. Take a warm bath before bed, and listen to soft music (no words) or one of those background noise discs you can get at any Target when you lay down!. The ocean one is great!. My personal favorite is the Coyote Oldman wind flutes - I get the discs online at amazon!.com or at Borders book stores!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Benadryl for kids is the best thing to take, but do NOT take it every night, only when you have not slept for days or so, maybe 2 a week or less!. It knocks me out in 5 minutes! I am 13!.

You know, the best sleep I ever have is when I exercise!. If I run, I tend to sleep very well!. My body is tired and in need of rest!. Try it!. Drugs don't work!. I am sick right now and I woke up repeatedly while taking Nyquil!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you have allergies at all you can take Benadryl or ZyrtecD before bed!. This will help you fall asleep and with your allergies!!! Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take 1 pill of over the counter sleeping pill that should help
