Sudden onset of pain is usually not a good sign!. Get it checked out!.
The pain could be for any number of reasons!. However, more details would be needed!.
Is the pain deep in your groin or side area or on your backside (just above your butt)!?
If it is on you side going into your groin, then it could be a hip condition, ranging from simple misalignment to a fracture!.
If it is on your backside, then it is more likely your sacral-iliac joint!.
A chiropractor would be the best person to diagnose this problem for you!. If it is a serious problem they will refer you out to a orthopedic surgeon!. If it is not serious, they will be able to help you by adjusting it, providing physical therapy and by doing muscle work!.
Rule out the most serious condition and get it checked out right away!.
