I have a question about my tailbone?!

Question: I have a question about my tailbone!?
For a month now, I've been having major pain around my tailbone area!.
Everywhere I sit, soft or hard, I have pain!. It's not bruised, and I take care of myself very well!. I always take advil for the pain, use icyhot patches, and I always relax in the bathtub for an hour!.
I went to this lady, who apparently is a pro, she said no need for an x-ray, you don't have to go to the doctor, I know what this is I'll just pop it back into place!. I've seen her 5 times already, but the pain is COMPLETELY the same PLUS lower back pain!.
She said it was going to hurt, but I don't see a progression!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!?
I'm going to go to the doctor for an x-ray soon, but I'm very skeptical!.
Any idea of what this could be!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

The lady you went to is obviously not a Chiropractor!. A Chiropractor always takes x-rays of the spine before ever making an adjustment!. An honest one will tell you if it is something you need to see a neurosurgeon for, and will make no attempt to adjust your back!. It is probably your sacroiliac joint out of place and a good Chiropractor can fix that easily!. When mine would go out I walked with the right hip upward, kind of looked deformed!. The pain was bad!. At my work place we had a Medical Center where Doctors were on duty!. The one I had, who adjusted me was an Osteopathic Doctor!. Osteopathic Doctors are good and they also make back, neck adjustments just like a Chiropractor, and in my opinion was better than a Chiropractor!. Did you fall on your tailbone!? If you did and there is a small fracture there, they won't do anything for it like surgery!. You just rest it and use some moist heat and a topical pain cream!. It will heal on it's own but may take some time!. I fell directly on my tailbone from slipping on ice in the winter!. It was a long time healing, but it did!. Wishing you the very best young lady and hope you fine the problem and heal quickly!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hopefully the "quack" did not bill you! Now go to the Orthopedic doctor and have an xray done! Then you will really know what is wrong!
You could have a hairline fracture without even knowing it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like something I just did-an X-ray will NOT show it!. It's called the SI joint!. It's where you back and pelvis meet!. I just did this a couple weeks ago, and I get the worst pain!. I can't sit very long and it feels like someone is hitting your tailbone with a hammer, not to mention the low back pain!. I also get tingling in my leg!. I have percocets for the pain and that doesn't even help!. Look up about the SI joint,(sacroilliac joint) it sounds as if you may have twisted it!. You would need an MRI to see it!. Why type of lady did you go to!? I am doing physical therapy and no work right now!. I may start going to the chiropractor- i know that can take time to correct anything skeletal since your muscles will over compensate for the injury!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
