Nope but hey it will make some people annoyed but wont make em quit!.
Personly i think all smokers who are against it should cut out the photos and litter the streets with them!. That way the photos will end up costing the government money to have the photos picked up off the streets!.
Then it would be cheaper for them to not to have those photos put on the packets!.
Also I believe those health warnings are bull!. They cant say with 100% certainty what caused certain types of cancer!.
Also why do the nhs care how much certain things cost because its the people that pay for nhs through nhs contributions and its the people who have to pay much more to treat immigrants in our hospitals that come to our country for a free ride!. They should be more concerned about that!.
The government should turn around and say there will be no treatment or benefits for immigrants that have lived in england for less then 10 years!. Then they soon would leave england!.
Somking maybe a addiction for some but not all people and some gay photo wont change that!. If i wanted to see photos like that i would go look at traffic accidents which i dont so why make smokers look at such awfull images!.

As an ex smoker I can honestly say that nothing will stop a smoker from smoking other than his will not to!. When I ran short of cigs I used to raid the bin to see if I could get one last drag out of a stub!. How sad is that !?
The only thing it will do is drive smoking underground as people will find ways to disguise the packet, or remove cigs without other poeple seeing them!. It will not stop them smoking!.

No fo course it won't make any difference, it's a complete waste of time and money!. Smokers know the risks, in fact, obese people and smokers alike are MORE aware of the health risks associated with these lifestyles than the rest of us, They chose their path in life and often they are in denial!. This stupid ad campaign clearly demonstrates the lack of understanding of people with habitual forming addictions!. It may deter the odd few people, but that's about it!.
I've known plenty of Drs and Nurses who work on cancer wards who will go and smoke in their breaktime!! They see first hand the effects of smoking, does it stop them!? No!! The ONLY time they will stop is when THEY decide to, it has to come from them, raming these skilly adverts down their throats is pointless!. Smoking is an addiction and looking at a picture won't cure that addiction!. You will only recover from an addiction if YOU want to!.

Sorry i'm not quite sure of the facts and figures on this 1 ( i did try to google it but it came up with a load of rubbish)
Smokers get taxed a hel of a lot on a packet of 20 cigarettes - is it about 80% of the retail value!? so therefore we are contributing towards our country more than say a non smoker!.!.!. ok i work - i pay tax, and i smoke - i pay tax, but if this campaign has the desired effect and makes us all quit!.!.!. where is the government going to get the extra cash from that our smoking contributes towards our economy!? Will we all have to pay more income tax to make up for the short fall!?
I work hard all week, i am now 30 and have worked since i was 16 i pay tax and NI, i pay private for dental (because i can't find a dentist so i am not getting the full use of my NI contributions) i don't drink, i pay my way in the world, have no children so therefore not getting money back in education, but i do smoke, yet i get penalised for this no matter where i go!. It's not fair and is discriminating against me i feel!.
But like i have said, when we have all stopped smoking because of all the do-gooders in the world and your income tax goes up!.!.!.!. i will be the first one to say "i told you so" Www@Answer-Health@Com

No!. When I was nurse and worked on the Cardiology Ward I would see people going outside for a ciggy after they had had serious operations on their hearts because of smoking!. Nothing will make people stop because they have to want to in the first place!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
