Question: Hope or not!? Boyfriend on Life support!?
Life support survival!?
My friend is on life support, and doctors can't tell if he's brain dead!.
He has a tracheal breathing tube, and is unconscious!.
Its been 3days, should i have any hope of him living, with a function brain!.
He was in a serious car accident!. Doctors think he's going down hill!.
Is there more they can do, llike run test!. I was told he has some swelling in his brain!.
I am long distance away, and getting informations from friends!. Iam trying to get more detailed information at the moment!.
I just need ideas!. Should I be expecting "the phone call"!. Any hopeWww@Answer-Health@Com

Alot of the time it all depends on how much damage is done to the brain!.
It pretty much depends on how much swelling is going on in the brain and brain stem,and how much hemorrhage is there!. If the docs can keep that to a minimum and not let it get out of hand, they have a decent chance of coming out of this!. You also have to consider if there are any other injuries to the body!. It also helps to have youth on your side!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Anytime there is swelling in the brain, you really have to wait until the swelling goes down to know where things are headed!. The swelling alone can be the reason he needs the breathing tube!. Anytime there is swelling in the brain, it can cause permanent changes, sometimes very minimal, othertimes very severe!. Its all a big waiting game!. And you very well may get "the phone call" but don't dwell on that!. Think positive thoughts, try and keep your hopes up!. Just the fact they didn't start talking to his family about organ donation and taking him off life support is a good sign that he still has a chance!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Well, my friend went thru the same thing, he was in a really bad car accident was on life support and hes brain was swelling so they had to take the top of his skull out so hes brain wouldnt build up pressure, unfortunately he had a blood clot in his brain, and caused him to be brain dead and once ur declared brain dead, there is no hope!. So, as long as he is not brain dead, pray for him!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I am sorry for what you are going through!.!.!.with a brain injury unfortunately, you have to play the waiting game!. His doctors will run several tests to determine the severity of the injury before claiming he his "brain dead"!. I wish you both the best as I am sure this is a trying time for you!. I'm sorry this is happening to you!. I know someone who was on life support with brain swelling!. the swelling never went down!. Everyone is different!. 3 days is not a long time, sometimes they take a long time to recuperate i think 3 days is too soon to know!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
