I've dislocated shoulder many times before, can this effect me now?!


Question: I've dislocated shoulder many times before, can this effect me now!?
well this is just outa curiosity!. from the age of 3-6 i dislocated my shoulder many times, around 3!. i'm 14 now and i'm wondering in it should affect me now when i play sports!. i would say i'm fairly active!. i play basketball, volleyball, soccer, golf!. etc!. it's never bothered me before but i'm just wondering should i take like extra care!?
oh btw if it mean anything i can crack my shoulders!.!.!. i dunno how i do it!.!.!. if that helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

In most circumstances, repeated dislocations weakens the labrum (the lip of tissue around the shoulder socket) and makes it easier to dislocate the shoulder in the future!.

I'm not sure if this is less of a factor because your dislocations occurred at a young age!. It depends on whether those dislocations as a child happened in response to a hard blow (trauma) or if they were from less strong forces and indicate a potential weakness of the joint!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
