Question: Seeing doc in an hour for excrutiating earache!.!.!.!?
What sort of medication is he likely to prescribe if any because I can't take the pain much longer I need painkillers!! Will he drain my ear!? I'm just passing the time at the moment and hoping for some light at the end of the tunnel!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If this is an infection or an abcess you will probably need antibiotics, which will reduce the infection, which will in turn reduce the pain!. However, this may take a day or two!. Some pain relief will be necessary, so the doctor must prescribe something, or tell you how many paracetamol or aspirin you need to take and how often!.
You can try a hot-water bottle - not hot enough to redden your skin - this can be very soothing!.
I know how bad ear pain can be - I have had ear abcesses which have burst!. I know, tha pain is unspeakable!. All the worse, I think, for being inside your head!.

I know this might sound daft but he might send you to see the dentist, that happened to me, it turned out that it was a bad tooth that was causing it!. Hope you feel better soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
