What's your favorite sleep medication?!
Question: What's your favorite sleep medication!?
I have been prescribed seroquel & hydroxyzine in the past for sleep!. Seroquel made me a zombie!. I was wondering what your favorite sleep medication is!? Also, what's the best sleep medication to take that doesn't make you drowsy in the morning as well!?

Well sleep medication usually is stuff like Ambien, Lunesta, etcc!.!. But yeah most bipolar, depression meds are to also help you sleep!.
Out of the many meds I took, nothing came close to knocking me out like "Symbyax" did!. I started on 50mg and that thing would put me to sleep like a baby!. I would go to work with my eyelids half open, most of the time I couldn't even stay up!. It was so strong for me that I would literally dose off at work for about a minute and have a dream!. Once I got home I would fall asleep and stay asleep(which my wife hated)!. I figured I would get used to it since Im used to taking pills, but even after a couple of weeks I didn't!. They reduced my intake to 25mg which helped but still it was affecting me to much!. This medicine will make you so sleepy its not even funny!. Even mixing beer with Percocet didn't make me as sleepy as this medicine!.
Seroquel made me drowsy the first couple of days, then I got used to it!. I was up to 900mg a night on seroquel withen like 3 months and it didn't make me drowsy at all!.
I want to try ambien to help me sleep and see how that is!. Oh and Xanax(although not to help you sleep)if you take just a little to much, you wont even remember the day before!. Happened to me(wild story)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Benadryl all the way!. 25 mg does it for me!. or 50mg if I really can't sleep!. Seroquel!? Why was that given for sleep!? That's a big gun just for that!. It's a anti-psychotic; schizo or bipolar!. Which makes me think you might be also on a benzodiazepine (the drugs that end in "pam" for depression or anxiety), which causes insomia in long term use, which is the cause of you needing a sleep aid!. Am I right!? Ambien works for my friend who is taking a benzo!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You want the truth here goes!. Up till two weeks ago I'd been stuck on Ambian for at least 10 years!. 5 GM did me up fine and I could walk straight down the hall on a white line if I had to!. The reason was I'm stuck on a CPAP unit and I'm a very light sleeper!.
Recently I started getting nastygrams in the mail from my mail in drug supplier that the food and drug people were cutting all scripts in half!. In trying to help me out my shrink decides to switch gears to Tegretol, 100 MG for three nights and from there after 200 MG at dinner time!.
Wholly crap! It'll knock you out just fine but I've never felt so out of control in the AM!. for 15 - 20 minutes my equilibrium isn't worth a good gosh damn! I really feel like I'm in the mist of a cheap drunk!. A couple of days later my stomach started having freaking cramps all day and all night!. I figured life wasn't worth livin if this was the way it was gonna be!
I'm an active outdoors type of person and I manage to stay busy!. For the past week I quit taking anything and guess what!? I'm sleepin like a baby!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do not take Seroquel at all!. This drug has a rare but serious side effect!.!.!. Diabetes!. I don't know what it does but it messes with your system bad!. Don't take any pills if you can!. My sister took that stuff and went from a skinny little twig and blew up!. Then when she asked her doctor about it he took her off it and told her about the rare side effect!. I am dead serious on this!. This is what the doctor told my sister!. I am not sure of the terminology but it is the type where you don't need insulin and have to watch blood sugar!. I have been using Ambien for about 14 years now - I agree with what seroquel does!. go with ambien - it is now a generic!.
