Question: Does anyone know how to help very sore lips!?
I had a cold sore 3 weeks ago it went away after a week then my lips became really red and sore now on top of that I have another cold sore I can barely move my lips and have been putting loads of lip salve on them, Think that's making them worse though, I'm going to put more zolvirax on the cold sore if I can bare touching them!.

I have had this problem before and lip salves and vaseline (even though I am usually a huge vaseline fan for curing everything, lol) didn't help at all!.
My boyfriend brought me some blistex and it helped a lot!. You have to apply it every hour, but you only need a tiny bit of it for each application!. I found that straight after applying the blistex my lips felt more comfortable and things slowly got better over about 3 days!.
If you try blistex and doesn't start working within a day or two then get yourself down to the doctors!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Feel for you!. I suffer from cold sores too!. Sounds like you have a bad case though!. I would try blisteez, it worked for me a few years ago when I had a really bad cold sore it seemed to dry it up quicker!. Zovirax only really works at its best when the cold sore is just starting!. Try blisteez for a few days if it doesn't help I would go to doctors, you might need an antibiotic to clear it up!. Vaseline is excellent for dry sore lips!.

I'm not sure if this will help sore lips but for healthy lips you can try this:
Apply rose water to lips every night before going to bed!.
Mix small portion of glycerin with corriander juice!. Apply this to lips everyday!. Store the liquid in refrigerator!. It can last for a few weeks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't lick them!. That is the worst thing you can do for sore lips because your saliva breaks them down!. I find that when my lips are that bad Vaseline helps!. When they start to get better, switch to something more moisture based, Vaseline just acts like a barrier!. Keep on with your cold sore treatment too!. Hope you're better soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You can most probably purchase some PawPaw ointment!. Most PawPaw ointments can help because alot of them are natural!. Alot of people use it and from what I have discovered it works quite quickly!. Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Try 1% HYDROCORTISONE cream which you can get over the counter at the pharmacy!. If the problem persists the see your doc!.
