Am I allowed to get my stitches wet?!
Question: Am I allowed to get my stitches wet!?
I had three stitches done yestarday in my face and was told by the nurse not to get it wet!. However, I forgotten how long she said to keep it dry for!!! How long should you normally keep something like that dry for!?

If they are the type of stitches that have to be removed (youll have been told this at the time) you should avoid getting them wet until you have them removed!. If they are the soluble type (that don't need removing) then you can get them wet after a couple of days but just don't scrub at them and make sure you pat them dry well afterwards!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Facial skin heals quickly so not to worry to much they should be out in a few days, keep the area clean!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It should be fine to get them wet with normal soap and water, just don't scrub!. Pat them dry lightly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
