What is the pain after my bunion removal surgery?!

Question: What is the pain after my bunion removal surgery!?
In December 2006 I had an operation to remove the bunion on my left foot!. Then, in July this year, I had another operation on this foot to take out the two screws and the pin that they had put in because they suspected that the pin was a bit too big for my foot!.

Now, about 3 months later my foot is still playing me up!. I get really bad pains in the ball of my foot when I do sport, especially jumping and it is always swollen after playing!. The scar is still very visible and sticking out in the middle of my foot!.

I don't seem to be able to bend my toe very well where it connects to the foot either!. Will physio help this do you think!?

Also, do you think there is any problems with my foot or is this normal!?
I do have a final appointment with the man that done my operation but they keep changing it and now it's not until November!.

Please help!.!.!.getting a bit worried!.
Thanks

Answers:
PT is a great idea!. You may need some further intervention to help revise the scar!. As to the rest, you may be part of the patients who do not get complete relief of symptoms from your surgery, sorry to say!.

I looked up bunion surgery on Google, and found this site;

"Possible Complications After Surgery

Fewer than 10 percent of patients experience complications from bunion surgery!. Possible complications can include infection, recurrence of the bunion, nerve damage, and continued pain!.

If complications occur, they are treatable but may affect the extent of your full recovery!. Your orthopaedic surgeon will explain various options in treating these complications!."

From this website;

Another website to look at says that up to 30% or more of patients are not satisfied with the results of their surgeries;
