I have one so stop worrying!. As long as it is small and doesn't cause you any trouble they will leave it alone!. If you start lifting heavy things or doing things to make it tear bigger they will have to do surgery on it!. They would probably do band-aid cuts to go in and repair (sew the tissue back together) the hernia and it's not that painful and you would be up and around in about a week or less depending on how fast you heal but you would have to be very careful for about 6 -8 weeks until it is completely healed!. The only time they would bother a minor hernia is if something tries to come through the hole (that's what a hernia is, a hole or tear in the tissue) a piece of bowel is what usually gets stuck in the hole if the hole is big enough but it usually isn't in a minor belly button hernia!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
