What is this pain in my hand?!
Question: What is this pain in my hand!?
Every once in a while, increasingly as of late, I grip my fingers hard around something or I press them to scrub things, and I get this feeling through my hand of a muscle or tendon pain!. I had it happen today while gripping something not particularly hard, but it hurt so much that I couldn't use the hand for a couple of minutes!. It's only happened in my dominant (left) hand!. The onset originated in the wrist, I think, but was full-blown and throughout the hand only about a second or two from when it started!.
This is not a symptom for carpal tunnel, but I have a feeling that I might be stressing my hands too much!. I use my hands A LOT, being a fine artist, and my job as an artist assistant involves occasional vigorous scrubbing!.
Does anyone know what this pain could be, medically!? I'm worried I may be doing damage to my hands, and I'm only 21!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is indeed carpal tunnel syndrome ,my wife had it in one hand two years ago,did the surgery,it helped!.Now she is getting the same symptoms in her other hand!.Her pain is exactly what you described above!.From what we found out,there is really nothing you can do to elevate the pain unless you do the surgery!.Good luck,and wish you well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
wrist and/or finger flexor tendonitis perhaps!. relative rest, ice after activity for 20 minutes and aleve twice a day with food for 3 days should do it!. see your doc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
