Do some people react to a hornet's sting like a bee sting?!
Question: Do some people react to a hornet's sting like a bee sting!?
Go into anaphylactic shock and die!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
Yes, anaphylactic/anaphylactiod reactions are not just related to bees!. Any substance can trigger a reaction!. The only difference between to two is the type of antigen-
Anaphylactic = Protein based materials such as venom (bee, hornet, ant, etc), food, medication, etc
Anaphylactiod = Non-protein based materials such as dyes, artificail scents, detergents, medications, etc
It's also important to tell healthcare providers about ALL of your allergies, even those that don't pertain to medications!. For example the most common antigen for fish allergies is iodine, but many people don't think that a non-medication allergy is important, so those people who are then exposed to iodine in the healthcare setting are put at unnecessary risk!.
