Question: Today makes 5 days without a cigarette! Any words of wisdom from other ex-smokers!?
This is actually the first day I've nearly caved!. (I almost went out to dig in the trash can a couple of hours ago, lol!) I'm fixing to go out for a run with a friend to distract myself!. Any tips from anyone to help get through the bad cravings!? Thanks!

I'm currently not taking anything to help me quit!. I am chewing up a lot of toothpicks though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Congratulations! I had my last smoke 9/2/99 and I know the feeling!. Reward yourself for not taking the dumpster dive and staying strong! Get a massage or a pedicure!.

You're doing good things by staying active, being with friends, and gnawing on things!. At the worst of my cravings I rode my bike like a bat outa !.!.!. !. I used a lot of gum and celery sticks!. I also (don't laugh) blew soap bubbles!. When my co-workers went out for a smoke, I went out and blew bubbles!. Do what you can to keep your hands busy!. I learned to crochet at that time!. Oh yeah, and I cleaned like a crazy lady!. Lemon oil will take smoke scum build up off most non-porous surfaces!.

Congrats! You should chew Australian Tea Tree Chewing Sticks - they give something for your mouth to do and the taste is strong - it gives you the oral stimulation you may be craving!. They helped me out a lot!Www@Answer-Health@Com
