Question: Think my parents are overreacting!?
My sister spilled hot cup of soup on her top thigh
and they call 911 and took her to a hospital
The burn just red and the skins peeling
!.!.nothing more(the paramedics and doctor at the ER said its the 1st layerof skin almost not even the seconf layer of skin and only a 1st degree burn)
My mom is like calling burn specialist and not letting her go to school,waiting on her hand and foot
My mom is like it will take 2 weeks for her burn to even begin to heal and look normal,she is going 2 be scarred for life and all this crap
My sister is able to walk,and crap but every time my mom,step dad,me,friends,sister are in the room she crys and screams bloody murder(like she is being stabbed)
My I think my mom is making this seem wayyyyy worst then it is
I looked up 1st degree burns and sunburn is a 1st burn,the pain is mild and crap,but my mom is acting like its a 6th degree burn or something

If it's first degree, she should let it heal for a day or two, but she can go to school and whatever, as long as it isn't getting irritated!.

OMG yes !.!.!. i had a 3rd dregree burn on my side and leg and the hospital wrapped it and i went to school and soccer practice after that !.!.!. there is NO NEED to be doing that for her !.!.!. your right tell them to cut the chord and stop babying her Www@Answer-Health@Com

yeah they are overreacting way too much!. and this is probably making you sister think its a big deal!. who wants to be told that you are going to ba scared for life!. how about you print out a picture of someone with 3rd degree burns and try and set up a situation where you can show ur family this so they maybe realise how stupid they're being!.
