Can't sleep on the weekdays?!

Question: Can't sleep on the weekdays!?
I have a problem!. I can't sleep on the weekdays!. It mostly happens from Sunday night till Wednesday!. I want to sleep but the moment I turn off the light there is a thought in my head "I can't fall asleep"!. I try to distract myself from the sleeping thoughts but it doesn't work!. In 30 minutes of being awake I start to feel weird crawling feeling in my head, and it usually means I won't be able to fall asleep at all this night!. Sleeping pills don't work!. I tried Unisom and Tylenol PM - doesn't work!.

Truthfully I don't know what to do!. I am going crazy!.

Did anyone have a problem like that!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes, I used to have the problem, comes back once in a while!. Believe it or not, I once stayed up all night lying in bed (which was probably about 8-9 hours)!.

What I do now is take slow deep breaths, really helps!. It helps with keeping unwanted thoughts/brain activity out too!.

I used to take valerian, but it didn't help!. I tried drinking aloe vera, and that's helped a bit (deeper sleep)!.

Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

Do you drink coffe of caffinated soda!? Is your bed just for sleeping and nocturnal activites!? Do you eat/exercise/ do stimulating things before you sleep!?

Try chammomile tea and a bath, make sure you have clean sheets and feel safeand not stressed in you sleeping environment (cleaning your room might help), dont study on your bed it can associate work attitude with a resting place!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

your sleeplessness is telling signs of other turmoil or troubles in your life!. try to talk to someone about what is bothering you, a good friend, parent, cool teacher- someone that you believe will just understand you and not be judgmental!.

With sleep trouble it is also good to establish a routine that starts to prepare your mind and body for bed!. eg!. a nice hot shower use an aromatherapy scented shower gel that will be soothing, make a warm glass of milk with honey or chamomile/peppermint tea, slip slowly, go to the bathroom, brush your teeth and into bed!. Make your bedroom a haven, no distracting lights from pc's etc!. make sure that everything is put away in its place, as clutter tends to make us subconsciously uneasy and anxious!. use good sheets and make your bed really comfortable!. Follow your routine around the same time every night!.

I would try and steer away from the pills unless expressly prescribed by a mental care professional!. Try natural means as suggested above for awhile!. really talking and relaxing really helps!. heres wishing you sweet dreams soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com
