Persistent wrist pain?!
Question: Persistent wrist pain!?
I have an issue with my right wrist, and have had an issue for several years!. The pain is usually brought on when I try to do push-ups, and then persists for several hours afterwards when I flex my wrist, although it occasionally flares up for no apparent reason!.
When it does hurt, the pain is generally on the top-left side of the joint, and it hurts when I apply pressure to the left-most tendon, but none of the others!.
As I am a frequent computer user, I assumed that it would be Carpal Tunnel, but I do not experience any of the tingling or numbness associated with it!.
Additional background: I am a 22 year old male, so arthritis is a way down the horizon!. Both my mother and maternal grandmother have problems with their right wrists as well, but I am not certain that my problem is genetic!.

What you are pushing on is a nerve that runs through the wrist to the hand, and yep, it's called Carpal Tunnel!. Tingling and numbness aren't as bad as just pain!. You can get a wrist support that will help with the problem at Walmarts where it is cheaper than a pharmacy!. You should have your Doctor make arrangements for an x-ray to really see what the problem is and maybe get some physical therapy done!. But for now I would try the wrist support and do whatever you do like the push ups and see if it helps!. Good luck to you sir!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
