Is there any Doctors or Nurse practitioners?!
Question: Is there any Doctors or Nurse practitioners!?
In Lassen County, (California) that will do house-calls for the elderly and infirmed!. I take care of an elderly woman 91 years old who is non ambulatory with dementia and chronic pain, the closest Dr office is approx!. 15 miles from her home!.!.
She is failing and we cannot find any services for her!. The car ride is a huge thing for her, it hurts her and wears her out for days after!.
We have exhausted all the resources we could think of!.!.!.social services, counsel on aging etc!. -- looking for ideas or hope!.!.hope!.!.

I work (part time) in an associated field of the Aged Care Industry and I find it hard to believe that there isn't any way that this poor old lady can get the necessary help she requires to maintain her quality of life - regardless of her age!. Unfortunately, I don't live in the USA, so I'm not aware of the Laws applicable there!.
Surely, there must be some type of "Out Call Medical Service" for those who are too frail to travel any distances, so I've done a quick Google Search for you!.

The above link will put you in contact with the Local Government of Lassen County and if you go to their Health/Social Services Department - you should receive help there!.
A word of warning (from my experience with Government Departments) - don't allow them to turn you away with the excuse "it's too hard"!. Stand your ground and don't accept "no" for an answer!.

I don't live in California, but wish I could help! It is easy to understand why she would want to stay at home!. You probably have already checked the Visiting Nurses Association!. That is the first thing that came to my mind when I read this!. We have them here and a lot of people use that service!. I wonder if there is any king of in-home hospice service that would cover this!? I would keep checking with doctors around there and see if they would do that or know of another doctor who does or some other agency or resource you could check with!. If I come up with any other ideas, I will come back and edit!.
