probably but not necessarily!. The main purpose of the band aid is to protect the wound from being hurt some more and also to keep the wound clean!. Both of those aid in recovery!. You should put some antiseptic on the wound first and/or use medicated band aids!. If the wound is large or deep have some one apply a dressing (nurse or parent) large wounds will heal faster if a hydrocortisone dressing or some other topical salve is applied!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
My experience has been let it air dry unless it's dripping!. It seems to heal quicker!. A covering just seems to keep moisture in!. If I cut myself and it's bleeding I make a quick one out of a paper towel and scotch tape until it it quits, then take it off and let it air dry!. I can't wait for the thumbs down on this technique, you are going to get a mersa etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You should keep them on during the day while you are touching things to keep infection out!. During the night take it off and let it breathe!. Also, you want the cut dry out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
