Omg that is freaky because i did exactly the same thing on thursday!! except its my first finger!. I haven't broken it but it hurts so much i taped it so i dont have to move it which does help sort of!. Apparently i have badly sprained it but i'm not sure if you can even sprain your finger but just tape it and see if it helps!. Even at the hospital they dont even really do anything for fingers!.Its up to you if you want to swim or do gym but its for you to decide!. Hope it gets better cos i wich mine would :( xWww@Answer-Health@Com

The same thing happened to my finger about a year ago!. i crashed my bike, i wasn't hurt except for my index finger which i thought was broken!. when i went to the hospital they told me my finger wasn't broken but they wrapped it up for me!. i could barely move it because it was so badly swollen and it had the same type of bruise!.

the best thing to do now that you have been to the hospital is just wait it out, the swelling should go down within the next few days and as for going swimming on monday and going to the gym, wait and see how it feels on the day!.

dont worry about it though, there is absolutely nothing wrong with my finger now and id say that yours should be back to normal in less than a week!

Hope that helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Just leave it, the swelling takes a while to go down!. do whatever you feel comfortable doing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
