Question: Osgood Schlatter Pain!?
hi, im 15 years old and play basketball, baseball, and football!. i have osgood schlatter it is REALLY effecting my game!. especially after strecthing, playing, and then sitting on the bench then getting back in!. when i would sit they would hurt more when i got up!. so i tried stretching and standing while on bench BUT i started feeling excruciating heel pain that i had encountered in a while back 7th grade!. i have no clue what do i take advil liquid gels half hour to an hour b4 a game or practice and strectch before and after games/practices!. i tried a strap and heel cups and heel gels!. STILL IN PAIN!! i ice 2-3 times a day both knees and unfortunately i get to feel ice cold on my sensitive heel! PLEASE HELP! HAVEN'T WENT TO A DOCTOR!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Osgood-Schlatter's (OS) is generally identified in the early teens, is an inflammation of the tibial tuberosity, and tends to spontaneously resolve!. It may be related to fast growth periods!.

The tibial tuberosity lies just below (distal to) the knee!. As such, your heel pain is not OS!. You may be experiencing some Achilles tendonitis or plantar fasciitis, or both!. See a podiatrist (foot specialist, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
