What can I do at home for possible broken toes?!

Question: What can I do at home for possible broken toes!?
I've injured the toes on my right foot- it's very swollen and bruised, and I suspect the 2 middle ones may be broken, as they are extremely painful and can't be moved!. I've already put ice on them and the swelling has subsided a little!. Is there anything else I can do to help it heal faster!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
nothing will help it heal faster i'm afraid!. you can try taping them together or to another toe that isn't injured!. this will help to support them and it may help when walking!. other than that, take ibuprofen for swelling, keep doing the ice thing and keep your foot up when ever possible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You don't mention if they're displaced!.!.!.!.!. out of position or bent funny!. If they are I don't think you could make yourself straighten them and you need a doc!.
If they appear pretty normal but just swollen you can simply buy some surgical dressing tape and bind it not too tightly firstly around each of the suspect toes!. This helps to keep each toe stiff!. Then use the tape to bind those toes together and then bind them to a toe on either side so that the good toes on either side help to splint and support the suspect toes!. Other than that theres not much you can do!. A doc would do pretty much the same thing!. Try to keep off them and if you have to walk do it minimally and not so you flex/bend your toes!. Walk mostly on your heel!. They'll take approximately 6 weeks to heal enough for you to start gently walking on them!. About another 6 weeks before they're back to almost normal!. tape them together to stabilize them, continue to apply ice for twenty minutes (no longer) ever hour or so, and elevate the foot!. Don't put the tape on too tight, just enough to hold the toes together!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There isn't much to be done for broken toes other than taping them together and staying off your feet!. The doctor will tell you the same!. They will heal sooner than you think!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
