Is it possible for ones blood group to change from negative to positive and back!

Question: Is it possible for ones blood group to change from negative to positive and back to negative!?
All my life I have had O neg blood, when I was pregnant I was given a course of anti-D shots!. When I delivered I had another blood test with O pos result!. I argued this they re-tested same result O Pos!. 2 weeks after having the baby I had a blood test, again O pos, then 12 weeks later back to O Neg!. Am I an alien or has anyone else had a similar experience!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It was due to the pregnancy and also to the shots!. I am assuming your husband is Rh positive!? (If he isn't you wouldn't need the shots, of course)!. I think the obgyns always give the shots to negative women, even if hubby is also negative, because they are worried that maybe the hubby is not the father (this is 5% of all pregnancies are not the husbands child) But anyway, you only REALLY need the shot if your husband is positive!.
Now you are back to normal, which is Onegative!. I am the same way!. I don't know if they still do this, but they used to get the shots by taking the blood of women who had Rh negative blood but had delivered a lot of Rh positive babies!. That is how they used to make the anti Rh factor shots!.
I don't see why this would disqualify you as a blood donor, though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think it can happen!. The negative and positive part of the blood group refers to the Rhesus grouping!. It is only dangerous when you are negative and have had a previous pregnancy, as your blood builds up antibodies to your foetues blood (if it is positive) and then your body thinks it is an invader and attacks it!. The shots were to prevent you building up antibodies next pregnancy!. What the test may have shown is your body's way of building up the antibodies, which may have produced a false positive!.
