My shoulder- is it dislocated/pulled muscle or what?!

Question: My shoulder- is it dislocated/pulled muscle or what!?
Okay, so my left shoulder has been bothering me for about a week!. It hurts to raise it higher than my chest and like the back of my shoulder hurts and my upper arm too!. I'm also a competitive swimmer, and whenever I swim backstroke or breaststroke, it cracks/pops and it is painful!. Should I see a doctor!? I don't think it may be lack of calcium either, because that is what my friend had!.
By the way, I might have Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, does that affect it in any way!? Thanks in advance :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Please see a doctor!. It will likely not get better on its own!. It is more than a pulled muscle!. Please tell the doctor about your possible diagnosis as well!. For temporary pain relief, ice your shoulder, but that is not a permanent solution!. You need to see a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

With you being a competitive swimmer, I would say it sounds like a pulled muscle!. That can cause you not to be able to raise your arm and can give you all kind of pain!.

My suggestion is to make an appt!. with your doctor soon!. You shouldn't have to suffer like this!. The sooner you see one the better before it gets worse!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could either be Impingement syndrome (when one of the rotator cuff muscles gets irritated by the AC joint) or your JRA acting up!.
Go to the ER and get an MRI to find out exactly what is wrong!.
