I think I sprained or strained my upper arm?!


Question: I think I sprained or strained my upper arm!?
We were outside at church yesterday, and my friend pulled me by the arm!. It was a huge sudden jerk and I felt muscle pain ever since she pulled it!. (She didn't mean to, hah!.) Now, the muscle that is right below my shoulder is really tense and it hurts to massage it!. I can't even hold my arm straight it hurts so bad! What should I do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com


Answers:
Ice will decrease any inflamed muscles in from the pull in your arm, but heat will relax it and help to increase blood flow so that it heals faster!. Both with numb the pain a little, but for now (until it gets better, which may be only a couple days, or maybe a week or two) it's best to just treat any extreme pain with aspirin or your preferred pain treatment, and try not to use your arm too much!.

put ice on it for 20 minutes and then heat for 20 minutes!.
