No offense, but your son's father doesn't seem to be the brightest crayon in the box!. Getting a tattoo is in no way comparable to the pain of childbirth!. I was actually told by a doctor that the closest thing a man could ever feel to the pain of childbirth would be passing a large kidney stone!.

As far as threshold, studies have shown that men tend to have a higher threshold (the point where pain is felt) and tolerance (the point where the pain becomes unbearable) to pain, but women tend to have more pain, and for longer durations!. Women are more likely to suffer from painful ailments like arthritis and fibromyalgia!.

Another fun fact, redheads of either sex tend to feel more pain than their blond, brunette or raven haired counterparts!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Personally I think that generally speaking men and women have about the same pain threshold to start with!. Then if someone has an injury or illness that causes them to have a lot of pain over time it seems to me that they gain a higher threshold for pain!. They have to because they're in pain but they have to continue with life!. I've seen it in action with both men and women!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think it depends on the pain!.!.!. I think females tend to handle the pain better over a long period of time without complaining!. My massage therapists said that men tend to whine a LOT more during massages, twinge and pull away!. Women tend to just grin and bare it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

actually men do have a higher pain thresh hold and tolerance!. Depending on where you get the tattoo it can hurt more or less!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
