Which is less damaging 1/2 Vicodin or 2 Ibuprofen!?
I have had dental pain for a couple of months now and have been taking 2 Ibuprofen in the morning and then try not to take anything until I go to bed!. When I go to bed I've been taking 1/2 of a 5/500 Vicodin!. I've also been on a couple of rounds of antibiotics during this time as well!. I've probably been doing this now for 2 months!. I'm really starting to get a sour stomach from all of this and want to try to cut back some of the pain meds!. I feel as if I'm becoming slightly anemic too or something!.

I was wondering if 1/2 a Vicodin tablet is more or less damaging than 2 Ibuprofen!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
The 1/2 a Vicodin tablet is more damaging, not to mention highly addictive!. However, if your doctor prescribed the Vicodin for you for THIS reason, do not stop taking it until you have consulted him!. Vicodin in multiple doses has been known to cause stomach problems and nausea!. Side effects for Vicodin Nausea, vomiting, constipation, lightheadedness, dizziness, drowsiness, flushing, vision changes, or mental/mood changes may occur!. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly!. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: slow/irregular breathing, slow/irregular heartbeat, change in the amount of urine!. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: impairment or loss of hearing (especially with high doses for long periods)!. If you do not have liver problems, the adult maximum dose of acetaminophen is 4 grams per day (4000 milligrams)!. If you take more than the maximum daily amount, it may cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease!.

The most common side effects from ibuprofen are rash, ringing in the ears, headaches, dizziness, drowsiness, abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, constipation and heartburn!.

Both drugs also have many adverse long term affects!. If this is not the prescribed medication regiment of your doctor, you should consult him immediately and let him know what you have been doing!. He may want to do blood work to check for any adverse possible affects of these drugs!. He may also est your iron levels, as you are concerned about anemia!.

Once again, if this is your doctors prescribed regimen for you, do not stop taking any of these medicines!. Consult your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

less damaging would be the Ibuprofen I belelive!. it is not addicting!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
