I think maybe everyone is misunderstanding your question!. Are you meaning that "stinging" type sensation when you jump and land on your feet!? I've always wondered that myself!. It hurts like heck and it stings so badly!. Hope you get a good answer so I will know too!.
*Does anyone have a even a slight clue as to what that girl faulty_b is talking about!? What does that have to do with the subject at hand!? Whew! Left field!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Because you're not landing properly and you're jarring your bones!.

This move is a good way to avoid hurting your leg muscles when you land from a jump!. It's not very hard and doesn't require a lot of practice!.

Steps

1!. Find a place to jump from!.
2!. Jump up!.
3!. While you are in the air, bend your legs!.
4!. While you are coming down, put your hands forward and above the shoulder of your stronger arm (if you are right handed, above your right shoulder) with your fingers forming a triangle, as if you were catching a football!.
5!. Land with your toes!. Don't lock your knees but allow them to bend to absorb some of the energy!.
6!. Let your weight go forward
7!. Bring your triangle-formed fingers downwards to make contact with the ground!.
8!. Brace your arms to let them take the impact!.
9!. Push your upper body forward and roll!.
10!. Jump again from a higher place!.

If you're not doing it for a sporting reason, or to look good, you can forget the roll, just DON'T lock your joints, that's why it hurts!.

@ sunny hun: I know what he's talking about, I'm a dancer, I hurt my feet constantly if I don't land properly, if you land on your feet properly, it doesn't hurt, the above steps are one of the many ways to land a jump properly so you don't hurt your feet!.

The stinging is caused by your nerves reacting, just like they do when you get pins and needles etc, it's a way of checking everything is working!. If you land properly, your nerves don't react in that way, they react as if you just jumped up and down on the spot!. If you jar or lock your bones you are more likely to hurt your feet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Probably the same`reason as it hurts any other part of your body if you land on them!. But when you jump the blooid in your body flows away from the base of your body hence less feeling, it doesnt really hurt it just numbs you for a very brief moment!. ok

Maybe because you have the wrong type on shoes for that type of activity!. Take care of your feet you only have two!. Without them your in big trouble!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

because all your nerves ends are in your feet and you need something to cushion the impact when you jump off a high a wall or something or it will hurt big time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
