I suffered through that too-still do!. It's hard, babe!. I'm sorry!.
Have you ever had a test for scholeosis!? [used to perform this test in jr high or early hs-they line you up in the gym one gender at a time, ask you to remove your shirt and bend over while a nurse runs her hands along your spine-sound familiar at all!?]
It's a curvature of the spine that can cause exactly what you're complaining of!.
If you've not been tested, barring something obvious, then doc'll prolly do it right there!. If you have significant curvature it could be the problem!.
You may also have an anxiety condition causing extreme muscular tension!. You might be started on a limited dosage of muscle relaxants!.!.or tranqs!.!.!.or anti-depressants!. Dunno!.
Maybe you just have terrible posture that's become bad enough in habit to develop in fact!.
If the pain's disruptive-and it sounds so-do see a doc!.
If it is something you find you can banish or control by changing your posture, 'aggressively relaxing', neck massage, heat pads or cold, aspirin, bath, exercise you may wanna go with whatever works!.
And get an ergonomic chair, a proper height table, and always work in good lighting!.
Just do not let the pain continue w/o seeking relief!.
