Question: I believe I have a sinus infection but no insurance for the doc's!?
I am totally stuffed up!. My head feels like a balloon, and I keep blowing my nose only to find yucky yellow and green mucus!. I do not have insurance so I can't afford to go to the Doctor's office!.

Well, even if you don't have insurance there a few wal-marts now that have DR!.'s offices in them!. They mostly handle smaller things, such as colds, and aren't too expensive!. If it doesn't go away soon, I would suggest going there!
For the mean time, you should buy a couple of great OTC's!. - I really like Mucinex for congestion - Benadryl is great to take at night since it makes you a little sleepy - but it really helps with your runny nose and sneezes!. Also, depending on whether or not you have some body aches, i would take some tylenol or ibuprofen!.
Another great trick my grandfather taught me is to put a pot on the stove (the kind you would boil spaghetti in), add rosemary, thyme and sage to it, also parsley or cilantro if you have it - bring it to boiling on the stove and stir in those yummy spices!. Put a towel on your table, and put the pot on top of the towel!. Then grab another towel, and breathe in the steam from the pot while you have a towel over you head to prevent the steam from escaping!. If it doesn't improve over the next few days, and you still have colored mucus, you will have to see a doctor for antibiotics to get rid of the infection or it will just keep getting worse!. Well, it sounds like you do have an infection, but the thing is, even if you went to a doctor, odds are he isn't going to give you antibiotics for it!. He'll tell you wait it out!. They don't prescribe antibiotics for hardly anything anymore because they aren't as effective as they used to be!.
I would drink orange juice, or something with lots of vitamin c, (that will help kepe your immune system up) and sleep with your head propped up to help drain your sinuses, and maybe take some sudafed, if its bothering you alot during the day!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Most cities have a free clinic or sliding scale clinics where you pay based on your income!. i don't have insurance either and and unemployment letter gets me a doctor's visit for 32 dollars or 75 with no proof!. Some Walgreen's have a nurse you can see and it's $60 here!. If you can't do that, try getting a netty pot!. You put salt water in it and rinse out your sinuses!.
