Answers:
Run cool water over it for at least 10 minutes!. Do not use cold water and do not use ice!. Taking very hot tissue and making it very cold can cause further damage!. So just cool or even room-temperature water!.
Once it stops hurting in a burning kind of way, pat it dry-- don't rub it-- and lightly bandage it with some nonstick gauze!. Do not put anything oily or greasy on the burn, including neosporin, because that can trap the heat and make the burn worse!.
You probably have a 2nd degree burn-- the wrinkles will probably become blisters-- so you probably will want to go to the doctor and get a prescription for silver sulfidiazine, a very good burn treatment!. You do not, however, need to go to the ER!. You can if you want, but the doctor would be less time consuming and less expensive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
